Contact FaceCall Review – Interesting Way to Call Your Friends
Review by

If you were thinking something along the lines “oh, I wish I had an interesting way of calling my friends” or something along the lines “I wish calling my friends would be an interesting visual experience”, then I have two words for you: get FaceCall.

Thanks to the FaceCall iPhone app you can call a friend by simply tapping on his picture. You can put a pic of your friend Tom, and a pic of your friend Jane, and a pic of your friend George, and so on an so forth, on a screen. Then when you want to call George for example, simply tap George’s pic on the aforementioned screen.

Sometimes I’d rather send a message than call someone up. In a message I can easily convey what I have to say and I don’t have go through the social protocol of being polite and courteous and initiating in small talk – I know, I’m like Sheldon from “The Big Bang Theory” from time to time. The nice thing is that FaceCall has me covered. I can tap a friend’s photo and send him a message instead of calling him.

Switching focus away from what the app does and how the app looks, two things have to be mentioned. The first one is that you can put a frame around a friend’s image. You can choose between several frame types and you can assign various colors to the frames. The second one is that you can use various background images for the screens that display your friends’ images. You can choose between the Carbon, the Wood or the Custom background – the Custom one lets you use any image on your iPhone as a background.

The app also features custom keypads you could use to call someone up.

The option to easily and conveniently call your friends or send them a text – that’s the sort of functionality FaceCall has to offer. It is a good looking, affordable, and easy to use app that lets you tap a friend’s image to call him up. A personalized and good looking speed dial for you to enjoy.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Custom frames and custom backgrounds
  • Custom keypads
  • Several enhancements planned for the future

Cons

  • None that I could think of
